Individual Therapy
One-on-One Support for Lasting Change
At Therapy With A Dog, individual therapy is a chance to focus fully on you—your goals, your challenges, and your growth. Sessions are 50 minutes long and provide space to slow down, reflect, and build tools that help you navigate life’s complexities. For clients who want extra time, extended sessions are also available.
Why Choose Individual Therapy With Animal-Assisted Support?
Therapy can feel intimidating, but having a therapy dog by your side creates a calming, grounding presence. Graham, my certified therapy dog, is part of each in-person session. Research shows that animal-assisted therapy reduces stress, builds connection, and makes it easier to open up. Clients often describe Graham as a steady source of comfort during difficult conversations.
What We’ll Focus On
Individual therapy is tailored to your unique needs. Some of the areas I often help with include:
Managing stress, anxiety, and major life transitions
Improving focus and self-confidence with ADHD
Healing from eating disorders and improving your relationship with food
Overcoming intrusive thoughts and compulsive patterns related to OCD
Building healthier self-esteem, relationships, and coping skills
Whether you’re facing day-to-day stressors or long-standing struggles, our work together is designed to help you feel more present, grounded, and capable in your life.
How I Work
My approach combines evidence-based therapies like CBT, ACT, DBT, RO-DBT, CPT, with experiential interventions—including animal-assisted techniques, exposure work, and somatic grounding. This integrative model helps you make meaningful, lasting progress while feeling supported in the moment.
